About Kyle Hohn Piano

Born to one of the best female jazz pianists in Southern California, Kyle Hohn is an accomplished piano teacher who has been playing since he was 4. Kyle enrolled in Wagner’s School of Music, where he developed foundational skills in solfège and classical piano technique. This began his musical journey. He later advanced to private lessons with some of the region’s top instructors.

As a young adult, Kyle studied under his mentor, Dr. Katz, who guided him through rigorous classical training, preparing him for auditions and performances in masterclasses. Notably, Dr. Katz graduated at the top of his class from the Juilliard Conservatory, ahead of the renowned pianist Van Cliburn. Kyle also received formal training from distinguished mentors, including Krzysztof Brzuza, Dr. Jeeyoon Kim and former MTAC president Lee Galloway.

In 2020, Kyle co-founded an innovative online lesson startup, designed to deliver low-latency music lessons, ensuring his students could continue their musical education seamlessly. In addition to his private studio, Kyle also served as an instructor at the prestigious San Diego Piano Academy, recognized as a top music academy in California. Contributing to the broader music community, Kyle annotated his own version of Ferdinand Beyer’s renowned Op. 101, offering valuable insights and guidance for students and teachers alike.
